When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. The Akismet Anti-Spam plug-in typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Contact forms

If you choose to fill out a contact form, subscribe to the website, or fill out a form on the website your data is collected through ConvertKit. (You can access ConvertKit’s privacy policy and terms of use at Convertkit.com) You voluntarily offer your email address and possibly your name. I do not share or sell this data to anyone. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Other Parties

If you make a purchase through my site you may use a third party such as PayPal. PayPal obviously collects personal data. Articles may be shared through Social Media sites including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Gab. Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
